Driver charged with vehicular manslaughter
Two passengers were killed on Avenue 18 1/2 at Road 16 after their driver failed to stop at a sign and pulled out in front of another car, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Their names have not been released by the coroner’s office.
The driver, 21-year-old Omar Hernandez of Planada, has been charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
