The Madera-Chowchilla area is expected to have the nation’s fastest increase in home sale prices — at 16.5 percent — between now and the end of next year, according to Fiserv, a real estate market forecaster.
Fresno and Merced are expected to lag behind, but still see slight increases in home prices over the same period by 3.2 and 3.8 percent, respectively.
Nationally, median home prices are expected to rise 4.1 percent by the end of 2013, according to Fiserv data available at CNNMoney.com.
