Boy nabbed for alleged break-ins

Two law agencies worked together Friday to arrest a Coarsegold teenager believed to be involved in multiple Yosemite Lakes Park (YLP) break-ins.

Authorities recovered a handgun, two iPods and computer as of Friday afternoon.

Sheriff John Anderson attributed the arrest to collaboration by California Highway Patrol Sgt. Chris Finnegan and Deputy Sheriff Keith Schoettler.

Around 1 p.m. Friday, Finnegan reportedly spotted a 14-year-old boy who resembled the description of a suspect in numerous YLP home break-ins. Familiar with the details of the Mountain Sheriff’s Office ongoing investigation, he detained the teenager and called the office, according to office spokeswoman Erica Stuart. Schoettler assisted Finnegan in recovering the stolen property and booking the teen into Juvenile Hall...
