Supervisor hopes for HSR protest turnout at meeting
The Madera County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday will consider whether to sell the county’s Resource Management Agency building on Cleveland Avenue to a Stockton developer for $1.55 million.
The Resource Management Agency will be moved to the third floor of the County Administration Building, which has been vacant since the building was opened in 2006.
According to a letter to the Board of Supervisors from County Administrative Officer Eric Fleming, the net proceeds from the sale of the Resource Management Agency Building will be used to help pay for the buildout of the third floor to accommodate the Planning Department and the Road Department, the legacy operations of the Resource Management Agency, which has been largely disassembled.
