Newly installed officers of the Madera Elks Lodge #1918 have returned from the 2013 California-Hawaii Elks Convention held this week at the Marriott Suites Hotel in Anaheim.
The local lodge officers attended several seminars where they learned business skills, how to obtain and maximize use of grants, and met with members of other lodges throughout California and Hawaii to exchange project and program ideas.
Madera Elks Exalted Ruler, Eddie Block, and his wife, Angela, attended the convention, along with Secretary Virgie Chavira, Leading Knight John Bliss, and trustees Frankie Chavira, Maryann Palacios, Jim McNaughton, and Larry Faust and his wife, Barbara.
