The Madera District Chamber of Commerce has selected six residents for its 2013 class of Lifetime Achievement Award winners, and a celebratory dinner later this month will honor their extensive contributions to Madera.
The six inductees to be honored are: Ronn Dominici, retired Madera County supervisor and CHP officer; Steve Frazier, owner of Papa Murphy’s Pizza; Aftab A. Naz of the Madera Family Medical Group; Marilyn Wibbenhorst, retired owner of Madera Flower Shop, and Lyle and Jan Zitek, retired owners of the Madera Animal Hospital.
A memorial honoree, the late Bob Kahn, who co-owned Kahn and Mora Tire, will be honored by a one-time scholarship made to a Madera high school student in his name.
Kahn and the six living honorees will be celebrated during a dinner held Wednesday Aug. 21 at 6 p.m. inside the Holy Spouses Hall of Madera. Tickets are $45. Reservations and sponsorships are available through the chamber of commerce at 673-3563...
