Tickets for admission to this year’s four-day Madera District Fair are already on sale in the fair office and a local grocery store. The 2013 fair, themed “Nuttin’ but Fun,” opens on Sept. 5 and runs until Sept. 8.
Hours of operation for the first two days of the fair are from 5 to 11 p.m. On the last two days, the gates open at 3 p.m., but still close at 11 p.m.
Pre-sale general admission tickets are $6 at Rancho San Miguel Markets, 1410 E. Yosemite Ave., and the Madera District Fair office, 1850 W. Cleveland Ave. General admission tickets will cost $8 once the fair starts. A season pass costs $20, while children 6 to 12 years old and seniors pay $4 to get in. Children 5 years old and younger are admitted free of charge. No senior admission tickets are available for pre-sale, but those for children 6 to 12 years old are.
Pre-sale vouchers for carnival coupons and wristbands are also available at both sites. A pre-sale carnival coupon for $18 entitles the buyer to a 30 ticket sheet for rides, which may be redeemed during any day of the fair.
