A Madera farm management company celebrated the end of harvest season with its employees, business partners and their families on Friday. The lunchtime celebration included meals, goodie bags stuffed with the crops the company produces, raffle prizes and scholarships for the children of employees of AgriLand Farming Company Inc.
Mariachi Alma de Mexico 2003 de Arturo Garcia performed during the festivities at Madera Ag Supply, which is owned by AgriLand. Camarena Health gave flu shots to more than 80 AgriLand employees. The clinic also provided health information.
“Offering flu shots is a great thing for AgriLand to do for their employees,” said Mona Rodriguez, outreach and education specialist for Camarena Health.
Covered California insurance enrollment specialists informed people about their eligibility for health insurance plans. More than 400 people attended. The company collected donations from attendees of items, such as toiletries, to be sent in care packages for troops stationed in the Middle East, who are AgriLand employees. The annual Harvest Party aims to recognize the work of its employees and those who do business with the company, at the end of the harvest season, organizers said.
