Locals will provide for the needy
Three native Maderans will set out across the world next week to give away food, songs — and even the clothes off their backs — all to spread the love of Christ where it’s perhaps needed most.
Husband and wife team Kenny and Audrey Crow, along with Julie Metz, will travel to the southeastern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh on a Christian missionary trip to help the poorest residents, especially orphans.
“I remember one lady really liked this necklace I had so I gave it to her and told her every time she looks at it to remember God is with her,” said Audrey Crow, who has already visited Andhra Pradesh twice and will return there Monday. “I also wanted her to know the friendship we have will never fail even though I’m across the world.”
Crow and her husband Kenny — a first-timer on the mission — will spend more than two weeks in a variety of towns and worship centers after they arrive at Sarah’s Covenant Homes, a set of foster-style homes for abandoned special needs children in the country...
