Though the Madera Salvation Army didn’t move very far to its new location, director Carrie Phillips said it’s going to make a world of difference.
The nonprofit agency opened Monday inside the new building located at 1816 Howard Road, Suite 8 — in the rear of The Courtyard building complex — and Phillips said the additional 700 sq. ft. would prove crucial to expanding ministry services.
“We’re totally excited to be here,” Phillips said of the new building. “It’s a beautiful, beautiful building and we’re really happy with the new opportunities it’s going to provide us.”
In about three months, Phillips said the additional area would be utilized as a chapel for the group to hold full Sunday services outside the daily Bible studies it already offers from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday through Thursday...
