The Madera Chamber of Commerce wants to honor an individual with an excellent record in leadership, service and contributions to Madera County agriculture. To do this, it is relying on community input.
Procrastinators be warned however: the deadline is near.
Nominations for the 2014 Senior Farmer of the Year Award are being accepted until Friday. Eligible nominees must be at least 65 years of age or older and live in Madera County.
Those interested in nominating someone must fill out a form, available online at www.maderachamber.com, which includes several questions, such as “Why should this nominee be considered for the Senior Farmer of the Year Award?” Forms may also be picked up and turned in at the chamber office, 120 N.
