Thanks to a donation from a Madera business owner, $1,000 is now being offered as a reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the shooting death of a 4-year-old girl’s Pekingese-mix dog named Celo.
The small white dog was recently shot and killed in the Ontiveros family’s yard near Diablo Road and Avenue 19 1/2 in Madera.
M & M Plumbing owner Shel Mensch read about the $500 reward in Thursday’s Madera Tribune and the same day hand delivered a $500 check to the Friends of Madera Animal Shelter treasurer Kay Rhoads.
