If all goes well on 4th St. project
Both directions of State Route 99 underneath the 4th Street bridge will face intermittent closures next week as construction crews continue work to widen the highway and revamp the overpass.
From 9 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, drivers can expect delays and are encouraged to take alternate routes if lanes are closed, Caltrans spokeswoman Gloria Rodriguez said. The closures are part of the 4th Street Widening Project, which began last June.
When completed — as early as the end of the month, engineering officials said — 4th street will be fully repaved and signal lights added at its intersections with Sunset Avenue, H, G, and I streets, as well as Gateway Drive.
