The line stretches out to the street in the cold and dark. Theater fans of the musical “Wicked” waited before dawn Saturday outside the box office at the Fresno Convention Center. Tickets went on sale to the public at 8 a.m.
Prior sales for the show at the Saroyan Theater were available only to those holding season tickets for the Fresno Lexus Broadway in Fresno series.
Marie Fuentes of Madera got in line about 7:15 a.m. She and her boyfriend Johnny Moreno were buying five tickets. Fuentes will attend the show with her mom and sisters, she said. Moreno came with her although he has no plans to see the show.
“I’m here for moral support,” Moreno said, and then joked, “Just being a good boyfriend.” ...
