More than 15 Madera-based companies made their presence known to the agricultural industry at-large at the 47th World Ag Expo in Tulare on Tuesday. The companies will continue to exhibit their wares and services to the tens of thousands of people who attend the world’s largest farm show, featuring more than 1,400 vendors, in its three-day run through Thursday.
The expo features everything ag-related imaginable. Heavy machinery like harvesters and tractors are on display outside, while indoor pavilions hold hundreds of booths presenting everything from soils to tools to labor-tracking programs to smartphone applications.
“This is the best place to pick up sales leads and show the public what we have to offer,” said John Bliss, president of Valley Irrigation Service, Inc., whose Madera company has set up a booth at the ag show every year since the 1970s.
The expo isn’t only for sales. Free seminars will be held through Thursday, featuring topics important to dairymen, farmers, ranchers and agribusiness professionals.
