A 20-year-old Fairmead man alleged to be under the influence of alcohol lost control and rolled his 1994 Honda Accord several times on northbound State Route 99 about 4 p.m. near Avenue 20 1/2, according to The California Highway Patrol.
CHP Sgt. Jon Johnson said the man, Andres Echeverria, sustained minor injuries but declined medical treatment at the scene.
“He was northbound just south of Avenue 20, and claimed he was cut off by another vehicle. He lost control, went off the shoulder and overturned several times. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI,” Johnson said.
