Anonymous Crime Stopper tip credited
A tip phoned into Crime Stoppers led to Friday arrest of a Madera man, accused of smashing the front windows of the Madera County Courthouse in early hours of Feb. 7.
Madera County Detective Adam McEwen arrested 29-year old Andrew Peter Biscay at Biscay’s home on O Street in Madera.
Two weeks ago, the Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video and images showing a man throwing two rocks through the front entrance of the courthouse building, shattering one of the glass doors and destroying a side panel of another.
Within days, authorities received a number of tips, including one from Crime Stoppers. Sheriff John Anderson credits that anonymous caller for “helping us get this individual off our streets.” ...
