Madera Community Hospital staff honored John Frye, who will retire April 2 as hospital CEO, with the assistance of his friends at a reception in the facility’s Shebulut Pierini Room on Friday afternoon.
Frye was praised for his work as a leader in expanding the hospital since taking over the CEO job in September of 2005.
He, in turn, praised hospital staff members, nurses and physicians for improving the way services are delivered at the hospital.
He also praised the volunteers, who operate the gift shop and donate some $65,000 a year to the hospital, the board members, and the Madera Community Hospital Foundation, which raises money annually for hospital equipment.
