Prosecution points to ‘crushing’ amount of evidence in closing arguments
MODESTO — The first chapter in a murder case that rocked Madera will soon reach its end and perhaps bring some closure to the family of a teen whose life was brutally cut short more than six years ago.
Jurors went into deliberation Thursday to determine the fate of Dustin Gran, 25, accused of beating 18-year-old Krista-Rae Pike to death in January of 2008.
Deliberations could take days as jurors have three complete weeks of evidence and testimony to mull over.
