Sullivan strives to change misconceptions about gov’t workers

David Sullivan says many people have a terrible view of government and the people who work for it. But the 47-year-old Madera County chief assistant clerk recorder is on a crusade to change that attitude.

He says his number one goal is to make sure people “get what they want and leave happy.”

To reach that goal, Sullivan is constantly making sure his staff has everything needed to do their jobs.

“You can’t just tell people what to do, you have to make sure they have all the tools to get it done,” Sullivan said. “Getting information out to people and getting it out in a transparent way is important to me...
