Several Madera Wine Trail wineries will offer complimentary dessert wine tasting at a highlight wine kickoff event Sept. 8.
“It’s something new that we’re going to be doing once a month, called wine highlight days, where we try to educate Wine Trail visitors about a particular wine and how we make it and why Madera County produces it so well,” said Wendy Eachus, Madera Vintners Association executive administrator.
The monthly wine highlight days will give guests an opportunity to mingle with winemakers at their leisure, Eachus said.
“It’s not going to be really busy like on Wine Trail Weekend. These are going to be wines that we’re known for in the county,” she said. “Some wineries will have cheese and chocolate pairings, some will offer discounts on wine purchases, and a lot of winemakers will be out there discussing their wines with the guests.” ...
