MADERA RANCHOS — A recently found small square urn, holding cremated ashes of a baby girl, has been returned to her family.
Richard Azevedo found the 4 by 5 inch urn about a week ago in a scrap heap in the Madera Ranchos near Avenue 12 while recycling metal. He said he kept it with the hope of locating the family of the late Silvia Carrillo-Garcia.
The urn almost ended up in a scrap pile at a recycling yard, he said, but it was the kneeling angel decoration on the box that caught his eye and changed that fate.
