A family of three living south of the border is now better sheltered because of the helping hands of 17 Maderans.
“When we handed them the key, you’d think we’d gave them a mansion and it’s just a two-room house with no electricity or plumbing, just two rooms,” said Peggy Ferguson, one of the members of Harvest Community Church who took a trip to build a home in Rosarito, México. “They’re so appreciative of anything you do.”
For the 14th summer, members of the Harvest Community Church took the trek to the border town, with their vehicles loaded with tents and belongings, to camp in the night while they built by day.
