The Madera Rescue Mission has two events scheduled for September and is calling upon local residents to make them a success.
The “Wrap Party” which will celebrate the conclusion of a 90-day challenge, will be Saturday, Sept. 6, from noon to 3 p.m. at the mission, 1305 Clinton. Food, music, testimonies and tours will be provided at the free event, but donations of food, clothing and money are always needed and accepted, organizers say. The mission will host its first Ride With A Mission Scrabble Run later in the month, with pre-registration ending on Sept. 1.
