The alleged mastermind behind the brutal murder of 18-year-old Maderan Krista-Rae Pike six years ago was in court Tuesday as attorneys rehashed witness testimony from the dark day of Pike’s death.
Prosecutors allege Brittany Navarra, 23, orchestrated Pike’s killing on Jan. 14, 2008, at the hands of 26-year-old Dustin Gran over romantic jealousy after she was dumped by Thomas Hollier, Pike’s eventual fiancé.
Gran was convicted earlier this year for the crime, and sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole by Judge Marie Silveira of Stanislaus County, who is also presiding over Navarra’s trial.
