Yard Dogs, Angel Republic to play Sunday
The Summer Concerts in the Park series will conclude the season with performances by two bands featuring fresh faces and familiar tunes Sunday in the Lions Town and Country Park amphitheater. Angel Republic will open the show and the Yard Dogs will conclude the evening.
The free concert will start at an hour earlier than usual with a 6 p.m. start.
Formed in 2012, Angel Republic covers rock songs spanning the past five decades. The teenaged band won first place at the 2013 Harvest Festival battle of the bands competition and the Audience Choice Award at a 2013 Clovis talent show. The opener of Sunday’s show has performed on TV channel KMPH 26 and at the Merced County Fair, ArtsFest, San Joaquin Wine Company, and elsewhere.
