When Madera resident Phil Holbrook wanted to record a seemingly innocent moment of his young son interacting with late television icon Elizabeth Montgomery at a Columbia Pictures picnic, he had no idea that his 8 mm home video camera would capture priceless candid footage of the “Bewitched” star mingling with guests.
Holbrook was invited to present his footage at the four-day Bewitched Fan Fare celebration, which begins today in Los Angeles.
For Holbrook, who worked as a craft serviceman on various sets in Hollywood, including the production of the 1960s sitcom Bewitched, it was a telling moment of the actresses’ sincere personality.
