400 attend dinner
The Madera Community Hospital Foundation donated $125,000 this weekend to the hospital for the purchase of equipment.
The passing of the facsimile check took place during the foundation’s annual dinner-dance, attended by about 400 who paid $65 each. The theme was “Phantom of the Opera,” and some who attended Saturday evening were dressed in themed attire.
Hospital CEO Evan Raynor accepted the check with gratitude, reminding the audience that without volunteer fundraising, the hospital would have a difficult time operating.
