Hundreds of people who love God and motorcycles met in a rally to share their beliefs and celebrate their common interests.
Motorcycles and black leather vests with messages about Jesus Christ and references to Bible verses abounded in the Madera District Fairgrounds. The 8th annual Central Valley Christian Biker Rally drew about 500 people Saturday.
The event featured food, live music from Christian bands, including Madera’s Change of Heart, and about 20 vendor and informational booths. Attendees received free tickets for drawings.
Those who took their motorcycles competed in a show and games, including slow ride, the plank and water balloon toss. In the water balloon toss, a high bar was set under which a motorcycle with two riders went under. The back passenger’s goal was to throw a water balloon over the bar and catch it before the driver got too far. Several couples took turns at the bar while an amused crowd watched.
