2 community meetings remain
Two out of four community meetings remain for locals to provide feedback to Madera Unified School District on a planned new high school.
The first two were held at Nishimoto and Berenda elementary schools. The next will be Monday at Sierra Vista Elementary School, 917 E. Olive Ave., and the last will be Oct. 21 at Lincoln Elementary School, 650 Liberty Lane.
The meetings, which are led by Superintendent Edward Gonzalez and Darden Architects, will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Community questions will also be answered, according to Babatunde Ilori, director of performance management and internal communications.
“With high school enrollment projected to be over 6,000 students by the 2020 school year, a third high school will be key to creating an excellent learning environment for students across Madera Unified,” said Ilori...
