5 casino suspects jailed
Chukchansi tribal faction leader Tex McDonald turned himself in Monday afternoon following arrest warrants issued for the 15 suspects involved in the Chukchansi Gold Casino & Resort armed intrusion.
McDonald, 64, turned himself in with tribal council member Vernon King, 59, at the Madera County Sheriff’s Department at 2:30 p.m.
Later in the afternoon, McDonald’s tribal security Miguel Ramos, 23, and guard supervisor, Tyrone Mark Twain Bishop, 29, also turned themselves in, said Erica Stuart, Madera County sheriff’s spokeswoman.
