District desires public’s feedback

The Madera Unified  School District will host a series of community meetings in February and March to gather community input regarding the district’s budget priorities and the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The LCAP is a critical part of the new way the state of California funds school districts through a local control funding formula process.

School districts will receive additional funds based on the number of low income, English learners and foster youth students who are enrolled within the district. The state permits districts to work in partnership with the community to decide how best to use these funds.
