From vegetables to flowers, each plant requires a different type of soil to grow beautifully and healthily.
Madera County Master Gardeners will host a free workshop Feb. 21 for avid home gardeners to learn more about managing the soil in their yards.
The workshop is from 10 a.m. to noon at the Madera Community College Center on 30277 Ave 12, Room 3A. Free parking will be available in Lot C near the Three Sisters Demonstration Garden.
