Imagination is the foundation of all books, and to turn an idea into a published book is a grueling experience. Any who doubt this only needed to visit the library this weekend.
Book lovers had the opportunity to sit down with 16 local authors Saturday and talk about the imaginative writing process during the Madera County Library’s Author’s Day and book sale. There was a wide range of authors present, from writers of children’s books to adult fiction and non-fiction.
County librarian Ellen Mester wanted library visitors to understand that books come from someone’s imagination.
“They don’t just appear,” Mester said. “Somebody actually has to think up something, and then think about the words and how to write them down.” ...
