Women of all ages and cultures had a message for everyone in attendance at a Madera celebration for International Women’s Day this weekend: women deserve empowerment, no matter who they are or where they come from.
A wide variety of female speakers and performers displayed their strengths this weekend at Parkwood Elementary School to an audience of approximately 100.
“Empower women,” said Delia Gregorski, one of the Madera event’s original founders about the day’s goals. “Give information to them … show them women are very important. We deserve our place in this world. We have to recognize that women give to everything.”
