Under request from Supervisor Brett Frazier on Tuesday, the Madera County Board of Supervisors delayed their potential five percent salary increase until a future meeting.
At the first hearing March 10 to increase the each supervisor’s annual salary from $73,844 to $77,536, Frazier, Max Rodriguez, and Tom Wheeler voted for the ordinance while Rick Farinelli and chairman David Rogers voted against.
That meant the new salary would have been discussed — and likely approved Tuesday if under the same 3-2 vote — but Frazier asked to continue the issue to the board’s next meeting while he recovers from a medical issue.
