Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, congestive heart failure, brain tumor, eye cancer and the death of a husband. Madera resident Sharon Harlow survived all these and more.
Harlow’s husband, Brent Harlow, was an author and she was his inspiration. Her victorious battle against lymphoma inspired him to release a book, “Companions,” just two months before his unexpected death in Oct. 11, 2008.
To keep his legacy alive, Harlow holds book signings through the years and goes to churches to give her testimony on the “good, bad and ugly of life.”
Her latest book signing event started Tuesday in a small corner of the Word Salon. Her husband’s “Companions” and his children’s book “Peetie the Awesome Possum” are on sale for $5 until the end of April...
