When Kevin Massetti graduated from Fresno State in 2005 with a business degree, he had no doubts about his next step in life. In fact, he had already begun Madera Blinds and Shutters in 2001, when he was only 18.
“I never really planned on working for anyone,” Massetti, now 32, said, “I always wanted to work for myself.”
It was the experience of helping a family member with an installation job that first introduced him to the business.
“My uncle in the Bay Area sold shutters,” Massetti said. “He came down and put shutters in my parents’ house and I helped him put them in. I kind of figured this was something I could definitely do.” ...
