Staff and students of the local community college are set to honor veterans before their national holiday during a ceremony that will be open to the public.
This year, Veterans Day falls on a Sunday. Therefore it will be observed by the federal government on Nov. 12.
The 5th annual Salute to Veterans is set for 11 a.m. Nov. 5 by the flagpole at Madera Community College Center, 30277 Ave. 12.
