The City of Madera’s new garbage contractor, Sunset Waste Systems, will recycle Christmas trees from Monday, Jan. 7, through Friday, Jan. 11, according to coordinator Annette Kwock.
She said Christmas trees should be cut into pieces and put into the green waste household containers. Don’t include decorations, lights or tree stands.
Flocked trees should be put in the gray trash containers, she said.
