Volunteers and funds needed for restoration of local landmark
For more than a decade, a barn amid open fields along State Route 41 and Avenue 12 has been painted red, white and blue like an American flag.
But the “flag barn,” a local landmark that has drawn national attention, lost most of its roof during a windstorm months ago.
The barn’s disrepair has caught the attention of several locals, and one man in particular has gotten permission to restore it.
