More than 25 local organizations participated earlier this week in a Camarena Health’s free community health fair, which drew more than 350 attendees.
Camarena Health provided several health services which included blood pressure and sugar checks, body mass index information, nutrition planning services, dental information, and on-the-spot appointments. Participating organizations gave trinkets and information about their services.
Attendees who filled out their event passports Tuesday were entered in a raffle for eight prizes.
“The importance of educating the public about health issues has never been more necessary,” said Camarena Health in an official statement. “Our communities are dealing with several severe health epidemics and staying idle is simply not an option.”...
