After a very successful initial concert held at Veteran’s Park in Chowchilla last week, the Madera County Art Council’s Summer Concert Series returns to Madera on Sunday at the Allen Harkins amphitheater in the Lions Town and Country Park. All the summer concerts begin at 7 p.m.
Get ready to dance or just sit back and get into the rhythm of some terrific rock and roll oldies, country ballads and even some top 40 music by Madera’s own band, The Remnants. Members of the band have over 150 years of musical experience and have been playing together for 12 years. They are Chris Ward, keyboards; Joe Cummins, lead vocals; Debi Valorosi, bass guitar; Ron Arriet, lead guitar; and Jaime Watson on drums.
The summer concert series is co-hosted by the Madera Parks & Community Services Department. Food and cool refreshments will be sold before and during the concert, with proceeds benefitting the Madera Adult Day Care Center. Sponsors for the series include service clubs, local businesses and individuals.
