Guests at this year’s Madera Community Hospital Foundation’s annual dinner-dance will dance and dine in prom attire representative of their high school glory days, organizers announced this week.
The “Prom Night”-themed event will be Sept.14 at the home of Anna da Silva, an MCH board of trustees member and former member of the MCH Foundation, who is planning and hosting the event with help from her sons and daughters-in-law.
A full no-host bar and local wines and beer will be served, along with spiked prom punch (don’t tell the chaperones) and un-spiked prom punch. Socializing begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner catered by MCH Custom Catering, which will be fit for the Prom King and Queen and all of their subjects.
Run 4 Cover will play a variety of music from the 50s to the 90s from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Guests will be encouraged to dance to the music from their era and jump into other decades if the music moves them...
