Human remains found at a North Fork home late last week were identified Monday by Madera County Sheriff John Anderson, with both the victim’s brother and sister-in-law behind bars in connection to the death.
Marc McMurrain, 35, and Jennifer McMurrain, 32, remained in jail on $1 million bail for charges relating to the murder of Christopher Garrity, who was reported missing two weeks ago from the three’s shared home on Willow Creek Drive.
On Friday, detectives and a team of K-9 search-and-rescue operatives searched the home and a neighboring residence, where Garrity’s remains were found.
