Young dancers in the San Joaquin Valley are wanted at an audition Saturday at Fresno State University for a community production of “The Nutcracker” set for December. Adults, especially men, will also be needed for a party scene.
Dancers of different age and experience levels will try out at different times during the day.
Ballet students with two years of training and who are ages 8-12 can audition from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Intermediate and advanced ballet students who are age 12 and older will be from 1 to 3 p.m. with a callback from 3 to 5 p.m. Auditions for the part of Bon-Bons will be from 5 to 6 p.m. for the ages 6-9 with some ballet and gymnastics training.
Boys ages 8 and older with some acting or dancing experience can tryout from 6 to 7 p.m. Adults willing to participate in a party scene will not need to audition but will need to contact the Lively Arts Foundation, according to its artistic director Diane K. Mosier...
