Coyote Country is gearing up for its first home football game where, along with cheering on the team, Madera High School students will honor local first responders.

All local law enforcement departments and emergency responders are invited to the Millard L Henderson game on Friday, said Tim Riche, the work experience coordinator for Madera Unified School District.

“The game this year is celebrating our local heroes,” said Riche, the adviser for Blue Crew. “We have invited all branches of first responders to the game. They will get in for free, will have snacks provided and help us welcome in our football team on the field during opening activities. Should be fun.”

The game will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Lee DaSilva Field at Memorial Stadium...
