A teenage girl recently fought off attackers before safely sprinting home in Oakhurst, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said. It was the second such attempted kidnapping in the county in less than a week.
Around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, the teenage victim — whose name will not be released — had stopped to take pictures of the sunset near High Sierra RV and Mobile Park on State Route 41 when two men charged her from hiding.
One of the men grabbed the girl by the arm and lifted her off the ground, when the victim told authorities he said they were going to kidnap her.
She described both suspects as at least 6-feet-tall white males dressed entirely in black, and the one who grabbed her with a heavy muscular build, brown eyes, and a mohawk hair style at the time of the attack...
