High school students are honoring an alumnus who gave his life serving his country by unveiling his name in a veterans’ monument this Friday and raising money to help put his daughters through college.
Army Sgt. Raul Moncada was killed by a roadside bomb that exploded near his vehicle near Baghdad, Iraq, during his second tour of duty there on April 13, 2009.
The Moncada family was overcome to learn of the fund-raiser and recognition.
