Organizers of the second annual Madera Pomegranate Celebration have invited the public to submit pomegranate-infused recipes for the National Pomegranate Recipe Contest sponsored by Stiebs Pomegranate Products of Madera.
“Recipes can use pomegranate arils, pomegranate juice, or juice concentrate,” said KC Pomering, part of the Madera Chamber of Commerce’s Tourism Alliance, which puts on the festival.
There are three categories for the contest, one for home cooks, one for professional chefs and one for best pomegranate beverage or cocktail. Winners from each category will receive $500 and have their recipe published by the Pomegranate Festival and Stiebs.
